How to Travel to Tenuta San Jacopo We are so excited to welcome you to Tuscany. Please book flights and rental cars as early as possible. Summer is high season in Tuscany, and flights and car rentals sell out quickly. Below are the easiest ways to reach Chianti: ✈️ Florence Airport (FLR) — Closest & Most Convenient * Approximately 45–60 minutes by car * Small and easy to navigate * Best overall option if available This is the simplest and most convenient airport choice. --- ✈️ Pisa International Airport (PSA) — Great Alternative * Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes by car * Often offers more international routes * Frequently competitive fares A very practical option if Florence flights are limited. --- ✈️ Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) — Most International Connections * Approximately 3 hours by car * Best for nonstop long-haul international flights * Can combine train to Florence + rental car if preferred Ideal if you are flying from overseas and prefer direct routes. --- Renting a Car We strongly recommend renting a car, as Chianti is rural and public transportation is limited. * Rental agencies are available at all major airports. * Book your car well in advance, as vehicles (especially automatics) are limited and often sell out in summer. * Driving through Tuscany is part of the experience — scenic roads, vineyards, and breathtaking countryside. --- Wedding Day Transfers On the wedding day, we will provide round-trip transfers from our four preferred hotels and agriturismi to Tenuta San Jacopo. This allows everyone to relax, celebrate fully, and return safely without needing to drive. Transfer details and schedules will be shared closer to the wedding date. We cannot wait to celebrate with you in Chianti.

These beautiful, family-run agriturismi are quaint, authentic, and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. We will be arranging wedding day transfers from all of the below properties to the venue for your convenience. ⚠️ Please book your accommodation as soon as possible, as availability fills quickly in the summer season and rooms are already limited. Perfect for guests who enjoy a smaller, boutique-style atmosphere. --- 🌾 Il Colombaio A peaceful agriturismo nestled in the hills, offering traditional apartments and beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy the Tuscan landscape. --- 🚐 Wedding Day Transfers We will provide **round-trip transfers from all four preferred accommodations** to Tenuta San Jacopo on the wedding day.
